SAML Verified Domains

We are excited to introduce SAML Verified Domains in External Share for Confluence, enhancing user registration and security. This feature allows you to add and verify domains via SAML authentication, enabling users to bypass email verification when registering through Single Sign-On (SSO). Once a domain is verified, users with email addresses from that domain will have their accounts automatically marked as completed upon registration. This simplifies the onboarding process and strengthens domain-based access control.

How It Works:

1. Add Verified Domain: Enter your domain in Global Settings under SSO Configuration.

2. Generate TXT Record: Receive a unique TXT record for domain verification.

3. Update DNS: Add the TXT record to your domain's DNS settings.

4. Verify Domain: Confirm verification by checking the DNS record.

5. Automatic Registration: Users with verified domain emails are auto-verified during SSO registration.

Benefits:

• Improved Security: Ensures only approved domains can register via SSO.

We’ve improved how nullable content states are managed. Pages without a set status and those with a defined status now function correctly, including when sharing their structures. This improvement ensures consistency and prevents issues related to missing or undefined statuses.
