To include external users (without Jira access) in the approval process. We will send email with an invitation to external user in case of first interaction. He will have to setup account. Once an account is setup and email adders is confirmed, he can login to dashboard and see a list of awaiting approvals. External user can setup account beforehand by visiting https://app.approval-path.com/register.html. Page with accept and reject buttons will be displayed along with simplified page content. They might not see what your confluence user can see. In case if external user has to have access to the rich content page, we recommend sharing a page with External Share for Confluence. Created External Share links can be added to page content.Action types:, you can add an email step with their email address. If it’s the first interaction, an email invitation is sent to the external user, prompting them to set up an account. Once the account is made and the email address is confirmed, the user can log in to the dashboard and view a list of pending approvals. Alternatively, external users can proactively set up an account by visiting Approval Path registration.

The approval page will display accept and reject buttons, along with simplified content. Each time the email step is active, an external user will receive an email notification with a link to the page where they can take action.

Action types

Approval / Consent action

Single This action type involves a single user decision step. When the step is activated, then the external user will receive receives an email notification with ‘call a call for action’action. Create step condition
