In this release, we've introduced SAML Verified Domains for efficient user registration through SSO. We also improved CSS styling for Header in Confluence page and mobile functionality, redesigned error pages. Additionally, several bug fixes were made, including Jira integration on custom domains, fixing the 'Read More' link in global settings, fixing the display for page in dark theme.
We have implemented SAML Verified Domains in External Share for Confluence, enhancing user registration and security. This feature allows you to verify your domain via SAML authentication, allowing users to skip email verification when registering via Single Sign-On (SSO).
How it works
Navigate to Global Settings → SSO Configuration → Domains
Enter your domain name and receive TXT record (Domain Status → Unverified)
Update your DNS with the TXT Record
Verify the domain - Confirm verification by checking the DNS record. (Domain Status → Verified)
Users with verified domain emails are auto-verified during SSO registration.
We have improved issues with the “Subscribe” and "Show Inline Comments" buttons. Both buttons now function correctly on mobile and desktop versions of shared pages.
Error pages are redesigned to view issue with respective message like license expired, Atlassian reload required, version mismatch. Applied for a view for both light and dark mode.
For logged-in users, Logout, Dashboard, and Settings are shown instead of MyAccount button. Logo display and color settings in edit mode have been improved.
After fixing issue and testing, now table charts display well. Also, if a macro on the page fails to work with the message "We don't have a way to export this macro." an error will be recorded in the console. So it adds better visibility into issues that could occur with macros
We've improved the way content states are managed. The change also applies to pages that are shared along with their structure.
We have redesigned External Share icon with magnifier icon.
The header now adjusts smoothly to various screen sizes. On mobile devices, it offers a well-organized layout with links, buttons, a subscribe button, and an edit page feature.
We resolved a bug where data from Jira embedded on Confluence pages wasn't functioning correctly when using custom domains.
We corrected the issue with the 'Read More' link in the alert message under Global Settings > Permissions in External Share for Confluence. The link now properly directs users to the Permission Scheme documentation page.
We resolved an issue where the dropdown for the subscribe button was not displaying correctly on dark themes. The dropdown now adapts to the header color. Plus, the table background color now displays correctly in the dark theme.
