Smoother Views ✨

In Approval Path for Jira, tabs now fit neatly within a 1920×1080 screen, so there’s no more horizontal scrolling. Managing your definitions, conditions, and delegates has never been cleaner, easier, or more comfortable.

New “Show Global Items” Toggle

In the Definitions, Conditions, or Delegate tabs, you’ll now see a “Show global items” toggle in the filters. This makes it simple to switch between project (space)-specific and global items, so you can find what you need faster and with less hassle.

You can now easily:

  • View global definitions

  • View global conditions

  • View global delegations

Control How Approvals Can Be Started!✅

We added a new global setting allow manual initiation of approvals.

  • When enabled:
    Users can start new approvals directly from a work item.

  • When disabled:
    The approval path’s New tab is completely removed — users can no longer create approvals manually.

Silence the noise: Notification Set Up 🔕

Approval triggers occasionally fail — but your inbox shouldn’t suffer for it.
You can now disable failure notifications entirely when they’re not actionable!

Smarter group steps with dynamic field exclusion 🧠

Sometimes a Jira group (like HR Team) includes both the approvers and the person who submitted the ticket. Not every Assignee should be pulled into an approval round in case if they are included in a group.

You can now exclude dynamic user fields like Assignee, Reporter, or any user-type custom fields from Work Item Field - Group step to avoid awkward self-approval moments.

What else changed?

  • Approval emails now include direct action links and shortcuts to “My approvals.”

  • Project-level Activity tab now supports filtering.

  • Optimized approval retrieval by replacing Jira REST API expression evaluation with standard JQL search.

  • Added vote step to REST API with full response support and backward compatibility.

  • Added delegateDisplayName to REST API.

Bulk Approval Management Made Simple✅

Managing approvals just got a whole lot easier.
You can now select multiple approvals at once and archive or delete them in bulk. Whether you’re cleaning up old requests or managing large approval queues, it’s now faster and smoother than ever.

 

A refreshed, more consistent UI 🎨

We’ve made visual and usability improvements across the app to keep things aligned with the latest Atlassian standards:
