Issue (Work Item) Share
How to Start
You can externally share your Jira issue (work item) with organizations outside your own. When creating an External Share, ensure that you have selected Issue as the share type.
To create an external share, please refer to Getting Started.
After creating a share, you will see the Share Preview window on the left and the Share Configuration options on the right. The interface as a whole will look like the image below.
Share Configuration Options
On the left side of the window, you'll find Link Details which include the following configuration sections:
General – Basic settings for the shared issue (work item)
Permissions – Controls what external users can view or interact with
Security – Defines access and security-related options
You can find more about Share Configuration options from documentation.
Implemented voting system for shared Jira work items
Users can now upvote or downvote shared issues. Votes can be saved in a configurable numeric field and visible in both internal and external views. To set up, navigate to Project Configuration and enable Voting
User can select the field into which the number of votes on the ticket in Jira will be saved
Logged in user should be able to add or remove vote for issue
