Sending the contract

Confluence Page into a Contract

In page view mode, click the Contract Signatures logo at the top of your document.

Clicking the Contract Signatures icon will open a window to enable you to start the signing process and generate an audit trail in Confluence. Click Create.

How to Send the Contract

Once you fill in all the required information in the configuration window below and click Create button at the bottom, the contract will be sent to the signers.

Configuration

Let's break it down into parts and see what can you configure settings before you send the contract.

Customizable options

  • Contract Title (By default, your page title will be entered automatically.)

  • Contract expiration time

  • Contract time zone

  • Enable/Disable Prepend title

  • Enable/Disable Append audit trail

  • Enable/Disable Sign in order

  • Add Attachments

  • Access method (E-mail, URL, Atlassian Account)

  • Signature methods (Draw, Upload, Render)

  • OTP method (E-mail, SMS, None)

  • Enable/Disable Receive completed contract

Click the checkbox to send a copy of the completed contract or disable it, by default it is on.

Here, you can add signers and watchers information.

Signers

Legal name and Email address are required.

If you didn’t add the Signers macro, you can add as many signers as needed. However, in this example, since Person A and Person B were added using the macro on the page, additional signers cannot be added.

Watchers

Recipient name, Email address, and you can check notification types. You can refer to documentation page-Watchers for more details.

Preview, Import, Export


Now, you will see that your contract has been sent.

The signee will receive an email that looks like this. It will contain a link to a read-only version of the contract, which they can sign.
