Introduction

Smart Checklist and External Share are both potent tools in the Jira ecosystem. In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of integrating these two applications to enable seamless and secure collaboration.

Prerequisites

  • Smart Checklist for Jira add-on installed

  • External Share for Jira add-on installed

Step-by-step Guide

Step 1: Enable integration

  1. Click on the “Apps” dropdown menu on the Jira navigation bar.

  2. Click on the “External Share” icon.

  3. Select the “Global Settings” tab.

  4. Select the “Integrations” sub-tab.

  5. Check the “Enable Smart Checklist” box.

Step 2: Create Checklist Items

Choose any issue, then click on the Smart Checklist button and list your items.

Step 3: Configure External Share

  • In the External Share configurations, make sure to check the box labeled "View Smart Checklist." This allows the checklist items to be visible to external users.

  • Once you've configured your External Share settings, click "Save".

Now, you can share the link and external users will be able to view Smart Checklist items and their live status.
