Global Admins
At the top of the hierarchy are Global Admins, who have the highest level of authority.
Global Admins set the overall configuration and access restrictions for shared Confluence content across all Spaces in the system.
Role: Global admins manage organization-wide settings, including whitelisting URLs for external access and defining which fields or functionalities can be shared with external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Set high-level share privileges that apply to all Spaces and shared links, controlling what parts of the Confluence page (such as comments and attachments) are visible to external users.
Manage global security settings.
Example: A global admin might restrict the ability to share comments on all Confluence pages across the organization, regardless of the Space.
Space admins and internal users cannot override this restriction.
