Integrate - Issue Checklist

Introduction

Issue Checklist and External Share are potent tools in the Jira ecosystem. This guide will walk you through the process of integrating these two applications to enable seamless and secure collaboration.

  • Issue Checklist for Jira add-on installed

  • External Share for Jira add-on installed

Step-by-step Guide

Step 1: Enable Integration

  1. Click on the “Apps” dropdown menu on the Jira navigation bar

  2. Click on the “External Share” icon

  3. Select the “Global Settings” tab

  4. Select the “Integrations” sub-tab

  5. Check the “Enable Issue Checklist” box

  6. Ensure that "Save checklist data to Jira custom fields" is enabled in the Issue Checklist plugin global settings. How to guide

Step 2: Create Checklist Items

  • On any issue of your choice, click on the Issue Checklist button and list your items.

Step 3: Configure External Share

  • In the External Share configurations, ensure you check the box labeled "View Issue Checklist." This allows the checklist items to be visible to external users.

  • Once you've configured your External Share settings, click "Save".

Step 4: Share the Link

  • Now, you can share the link and external users will be able to view Issue Checklist items and their live status.
