WIP) Getting Started
Before start, Install External Share for Confluence add-on from Atlassian Marketplace.
Refer to Get External Share for Confluence document to install our add-on.
How to start
Navigate to the Confluence page you want to share.
Click External Share icon in the top right to create a new link and view this page link.
Click the Create External Share Link button to generate a link for page or attachment share
A configuration window will appear with share link. Share the link URL or send the link directly to external viewer’s email.
Once you have created the link and selected the options you require, (see Link Options for more details) you can send the link directly via email. Also, You can customize the format of your email, decide if you want to share the password and add a friendly message.
Here's an example of the email that external users will receive.
Once the external viewer opens the link, it will look like below image. The shared page displays text, tables, images, most of the built in Confluence macros and sizable number of remaining macros.
Click the External Share button in the left menu to see all links that have been created in the Space.
Administrators will find here global settings and space settings.
If you forget to add an option to a link, want to change the password or update the expiration date just go back and edit the link. You don't need to create a new link, the existing link can be edited and updated as many times as you need!
