Summary
In this release, we've introduced SSO Verified Domains for efficient user registration. We also improved CSS styling for confluence page and mobile functionality. Additionally, several bug fixes were made, including Jira - Confluence integration, fixing the display for page in dark theme.
New Features
SSO verified domains NEW
We have implemented verified domains in External Share for Confluence. This feature allows you to verify your domain, allowing users to skip email verification when registering via Single Sign-On (SSO).
How it works
Navigate to Global Settings → SSO Configuration → Domains
Enter your domain name and receive TXT record (Domain Status → Unverified)
Update your DNS with the TXT Record
Verify the domain - Confirm verification by checking the DNS record. (Domain Status → Verified)
Users with verified domain emails are auto-verified during user registration.
Improvements
Improved header IMPROVED
In Confluence page, header layout was static but now adjusts smoothly to various screen sizes. On mobile devices, it has a clean layout with links, buttons, a subscribe button, and an edit page feature.
Improved table chart pageIMPROVED
If a macro on the table chart page fails to work with the message "We don't have a way to export this macro." an error will be recorded into our console. It adds better visibility into issues that could occur with macros.
Improved handling of content states IMPROVED
We've improved the way content states are managed. The change also applies to pages that are shared along with their structure.
Improved user experience in edit mode IMPROVED
The improvements focus on enhancing the user experience in edit mode by ensuring visual consistency and functionality. These changes include adjustments to the logo display, background and header colors, button visibility, header height, and alignment of editing options.
Improved buttons functionality in mobile IMPROVED
We have improved issues with the “Subscribe” and "Show Inline Comments" buttons. Both buttons now function correctly on mobile and desktop versions of shared pages.
Redesigned icon for 'no result' in dashboard IMPROVED
We have redesigned External Share icon with magnifier icon.
Redesigned error pages for detailed information IMPROVED
Error pages are redesigned to view issue with respective message like license expired, Atlassian reload required, version mismatch. Applied for a view for both light and dark mode.
Bug Fixes
Fixed Integration issue FIXED
We’ve resolved a bug where data from Jira embedded on Confluence pages wasn't functioning correctly when using custom domains.
Fixed invalid link in global settings FIXED
We’ve corrected the issue with the 'Read More' link in the alert message under Global Settings > Permissions in External Share for Confluence. The link now properly directs users to the Permission Scheme documentation page.
Fixed dropdown button & table background on dark theme FIXED
We resolved an issue where the dropdown for the subscribe button was not displaying correctly on dark themes. The dropdown now adapts to the header color. Plus, the table background color now displays correctly in the dark theme.
