Jira Macro Integration
Integration with Jira Macros
Using our products: External Share for Confluence and External Share for Jira it is possible to share Jira issues, filters and boards embedded on your confluence pages on our shared pages.
Jira Macros allow you to display dynamic Jira content directly on your Confluence pages. This helps teams stay aligned by keeping relevant Jira data visible and updated within the context of your documentation or project pages.

How it Works
To use Jira Macros on shared Confluence pages, External Share for Jira and External Share for Confluence must be installed. This is because macro fetches Jira data (e.g., issues, filters) by sending a request via External Share for Jira app, which communicates with the Jira REST API. Later, app returns the data in HTML format, which is then embedded into the shared Confluence page.
Available Jira Macros on Shared Pages
Below is a list of available macros and how they appear on shared pages.
Important
Jira data is displayed based on the access rights of the last user who modified the Confluence page. If that user doesn't have access to certain Jira issues or filters, those items will not appear on the shared page.
