Admin global view
The global view for the users with higher permissions allows for full control over all aspects of the Approval Path.
To access the global view, go to apps at the top of the Jira page and select Approval Path.
Approvals
The Approvals view allows users to filter, view and manage all active approvals across all projects.
The approvals can be filtered by:
Name
Project
Status:
In progress
Approved
Rejected
Expired
Originator
User
Group
Email
Where the last 3 criteria can be further specified if a user is looking for awaiting decision, rejection or approval by user/group/email.
Below the filters are the results. By default, the approvals shown are “not archived”.
Here, a user can see:
Approval Name
The Originator of the approval
Current Step’s owner: who is supposed to take action now
The Project of origin
The Issue of origin
Approval Status and step
Expiration date (if set)
Start time and date
Modified time and date
Actions allowing to:
Open the approval in an issue
Send a notification [LINK TO BE ADDED]
Archive the approval
Delete the approval
Activity
The activity tab allows you to view all activities that have taken place for approvals on the entire instance.
The user can search for a specific project from which the approval originates.
The table of activities shows:
Approval Name
Originator
Step: who is supposed to take action now
Decision: gives a status of the approval
Project of origin
Issue of origin
Action Date
Actions: allows to open selected approval on the issue page
Definitions
In this tab, the user can see, search for, create and manage all approval definitions across every project. To learn how to create the approval definitions, click here.
The table contains all approval definitions (if not filtered). The user can find here:
The ID of the approval definition
Name
Project of origin: This can contain either the project or a globe symbol, meaning the definition is global and can be used in every project
Path: show the structure of the definition
Actions: they allow for editing, duplicating or deleting the definitions
Conditions
The conditions enable the user to set criteria using Jira expressions. The selected expression is assessed by the Jira REST API according to the chosen condition evaluator. These conditions act as qualifiers for either triggering an approval or including a step within it.

Delegate
The Delegation feature in Approval Path enables internal approvers to delegate their approval steps to another user during their absence or other circumstances. This functionality ensures the continuity of the approval process by allowing another user, the delegatee, to take action on behalf of the delegator.

Settings
This tab allows you to configure general notification and reminder settings for the approval process. To learn more about the settings tab, click here.
API Keys
Here the user can manage and generate API Keys, that allow for advanced automation of the Approval Path.
